Bajaj Auto Ltd., originally under license from Piaggio of Italy, made and exported Piaggio’s Vespa PX150 and the Vespa PX200.

In 1999 Piaggio/LML of Kanpur India split from Piaggio and LML was granted a license to export it products world wide – whereas previously the scooters were exported under the Piaggio and Vespa names.
In terms of the settlement agreement, LML was not permitted to use the Piaggio or the Vespa name and so exports models as the 150cc Star (Piaggio Vespa PX150) – and the Star Deluxe (which, apart from the 150cc engine is almost identical to the Vespa PX200).

Scoot Dr, therefore, through our LML Dealership in Cape Town, South Africa, is able to offer you original custom and restored Vespas as well as new LML Scooters.
